High School Servant Leadership Requirements
As part of the Texas Leadership Public Schools District, servant leadership is one of our core values. We believe allowing our students the opportunity to partner within our community and campus shows them a greater worldview.
Students participating in servant leadership tend to see themselves as a part of the bigger picture and can look beyond their wants and desires to help others grow and thrive. There are so many benefits for students, and we implore our students to participate in these endeavors.
2023-2024 High School seniors who serve 100 hours during their high school career will receive and be allowed to wear an honor cord during graduation to denote their dedication in this arena. All students graduating beyond this current year will need to accumulate 125 hours to receive their service cord. We encourage students to not wait until their senior year to work the total number of hours.
Students will be given directions on where and when to turn in their community service forms.
* Your senior will receive 40 hours of community service during the spring semester for Student Service Leadership Week
** All hours must be earned by VOLUNTEERING for a Non-Profit organization (501(c)(3).
